Media Composer Update September 2014

Media Composer Update September 2014
If you have an older version of Media Composer, you can follow this process to upgrade to Media Composer 8.1.\
Log-In to your Avid Account
Click on My Products and Subscriptions
Find your System ID and Activation ID of your previous version of Media Composer
Open the Avid Academic Update Page in a new tab
Enter your SystemID, First Name and Last Name as they appear in your Avid account, and click upgrade. You should see Upgrade Successful!
Open the install package; Be sure to run the uninstaller first.
In some cases, you may see an error suggesting that the uninstaller is broken.
Don’t worry, it isn’t! On some Mac computers, you need to adjust your security settings to allow software installs from Anywhere. Open up System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab, unlock and under Allow Apps Downloaded From: select Anywhere.
When the uninstaller is complete, click the quit button.
Install the new version of Media Composer
When the installation is complete, you will need to restart your computer.
Enter your new SystemID and ActivationId (found in your Avid Account) in the Avid Licence Manager, using the Online method.
Open Media Composer, and Enjoy!!

Hi Nik,
Is there a reason why I don’t have a system ID?
